Business Zoning and Land Use Disputes
Business owners often run into issues with local governmental bodies, in particular city governments or county governments. Most often, the issues relate to local land use, zoning or licensing laws. Sometimes the biggest hurdle for an important business venture is getting the city or county to allow it to be built or to obtain local approvals or licenses.
Don Harris has been on the Albuquerque City Council since 2005. City Councilors sit as decision makers in local land use disputes frequently. Although Mr. Harris cannot represent business owners who have disputes with the City of Albuquerque, he has been called on several times to assist business clients who are having issues with other municipalities or counties within the State of New Mexico.
At New Mexico Financial and Family law, we may be able to help you navigate through the process of getting your zoning approved, challenging local government action against your business activity, or resolving other licensing disputes with local governing entities.
